To undertake this course, learners should:
Be employed or undertaking a placement within a healthcare setting.
Have a basic understanding of infection prevention and control principles.
Be able to access online learning materials and complete the end-of-course assessment.
Work within their organisation's policies, procedures and scope of practice.
No previous injection experience is required.
Please note that successful completion of this course provides the theoretical knowledge required for practice. Learners must also complete workplace competency assessment and supervised practice before administering vitamin B12 injections independently.
It is the learner's responsibility to ensure they have the appropriate authorisation, supervision and competency sign-off required by their employer.
